Accessibility Statement
Math with Sarah is committed to making physics learning accessible to as many curious minds as possible. We're a small business, and accessibility is something we work on continuously rather than something we've "finished."
Our website
We aim for our online store to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We use a modern Shopify theme with semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, alt text on product images, and screen-reader-friendly markup. If you encounter a barrier on our site, please email SarahAllenPhysics@gmail.com and we'll work to fix it.
Our digital products
We design our books and learning resources with accessibility in mind, knowing that every learner is different.
Books: Wherever possible, we provide both PDF and ePub formats. The ePub format is especially helpful for readers who benefit from:
- Resizable text
- Custom fonts (including dyslexia-friendly sans-serif options)
- Adjustable background colors and contrast
- Compatibility with screen readers and read-aloud apps
Games: Our interactive browser games use high-contrast backgrounds and an easy-to-read sans-serif font to support readers with low vision and dyslexia. The games are highly visual by design — the puzzles depend on seeing relationships between objects on screen — so they may not be suitable for learners who rely entirely on audio. We're actively thinking about how to expand access here.
Worksheets: Our worksheets are designed with clear typography and ample spacing. They're delivered as PDFs that can be printed or used digitally.
What we're working on
Accessibility is an ongoing project, not a finished one. Things we're actively working toward:
- Audiobook versions of the books, which we'll produce as budget allows
- Read-aloud features for the games (not yet available)
- Continued improvements to our website and resources based on feedback from real users
